RegDatabase

The financial regulatory law sourcebook:

A comprehensive inventory of all Level 1, 2 and 3 (including draft) German and European financial regulatory laws; guarantees a holistic view of the constantly changing regulatory environment, in a “TreeView“ sorted according to subject areas of financial regulatory law. This creates a single rule book for the entire financial regulatory law, including full access to the most relevant legal acts on an article level, including mapped Single Rulebooks, by EBA and ESMA, like UCITS, MiFID, MiFIR, CRAR, CRD, CRR, PSD and BRRD.

Most frequent questions and answers
RegGateway is a so called “Freemium Tool”: We intentionally want to share our knowledge with our clients for free. Most of the content and features are therefore free of charge. Only RegCompliance and Advanced Features of RegDatabase and LegalActs will be subject to fees.
The Advanced Features of RegGateway provides you with additional features to individualise the Public Library and to make your own Individual Libraries. The Advanced Features are developed for teams to share knowledge and to completely individualise the content.  You can make your own legal repository, add Notes or upload documents, all connected and mapped to the relevant legal information.
We cover International, European and local rules, Currently, local rules are limited to Germany.
We use a mix of IT tools and a standardized manual process in order to try to ensure that the various tools are up to date and complete.
The RegTracker tracks more acts than the RegRadar and allows you to identify the key stages of each act. These acts are again grouped by matter subject. By clicking a on specific stage, you can see details regarding this stage and a link which leads you to the relevant regulatory document. The timeline will also show you the impact date in terms of the implementation deadline.

The RegRadar can be used to get a quick overview of the key regulatory developments affecting the financial industry on a horizon of one, two and three years. You can filter by jurisdiction, stage of each item as well as the type of act. We also track key events other than regulatory acts.

The RegDatabase is built in a “tree structure”. It is divided by subject matter. Key subject matters are sub-divided which allows you to quickly get to the topic which is relevant to you. Each topic is further separated between local, European and international law. Within each jurisdiction, we also separate between the different sources of law, e.g. acts and regulations. Once you have identified a specific act, the RegDatabase gives you the link to the most recent version and also to the legislative history. For key acts, RegDatabase allows you to navigate through individual provisions; we are currently working on extending this function to all acts.
